The Suite

A Room Set Apart

Each year, during National Prayer Breakfast week in Washington, one room quietly becomes a place set apart.

Known today as the Issachar Suite, it has grown from what was once simply known as the Congressional Suite into something rather different. Not because of the room itself. But because of what happens within it.

Across several days, members of Congress, parliamentarians, diplomats, business leaders, pastors, scholars and friends gather in an atmosphere marked by prayer, thoughtful conversation and mutual encouragement.

Some conversations begin there. Others continue there. Many relationships deepen there.

Little of what happens is public. Nor is that the intention. Some of the most important work of the Kingdom has always taken place quietly.
