The Foundation Emblem

It recalls Nehemiah, who served as cupbearer to the King of Persia before God called him to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem.

A cupbearer occupied one of the highest positions of trust in the ancient world. He lived close to power, yet was not consumed by it. His calling was not prominence but faithful service. He listened carefully, spoke wisely, acted courageously, and sought the welfare of others before his own.

Nehemiah reminds us that God often prepares His servants through quiet faithfulness, faithful prayer, and humble service before entrusting them with greater responsibility.

That calling continues today. We believe God still raises up men and women to serve as modern-day cupbearers—trusted friends, wise counsellors, faithful intercessors, and ambassadors of reconciliation in every sphere of society.

Yet the cup carries an even deeper meaning.

Throughout Scripture, the cup becomes a symbol of covenant, thanksgiving, sacrifice, and salvation.

That promise finds its fulfilment in Jesus Christ.

On the night before His crucifixion, as He gathered around the table with His disciples, Jesus took the cup and said:

The following day He willingly accepted the cup of suffering so that we might receive the cup of salvation.

Every time we gather around the table to break bread and share the cup, we remember His sacrifice, proclaim His death and resurrection, and celebrate the new life He has given us.

Our ministry begins there.

Everything we seek to do—whether praying with leaders, gathering around tables, encouraging those in public service, or working for reconciliation—flows from the grace we have first received in Christ.

Near the end of his life, the Apostle Paul could therefore write:

Our prayer is that our own lives, too, would be poured out in faithful service to God and to others.

For us, the gold represents what is precious, enduring, and refined. It reminds us that God refines character through testing, forms wisdom through experience, and shapes His people into the likeness of Christ for faithful service.

For us, the deep blue speaks of truth, faithfulness, and hope. It also recalls the seas that have connected peoples and nations throughout history, reflecting our calling to serve wherever God opens a door.

For us, the circular seal speaks of continuity, stewardship, and the eternal Kingdom of God. It reminds us that we stand within a story far greater than ourselves—a story that spans generations, nations, and eternity.

Daniel writes:

The Apostle Paul tells us that “we are therefore Christ’s ambassadors” (2 Corinthians 5:20), entrusted with the ministry of reconciliation.

An ambassador does not speak with his own authority. He represents the sovereign who has sent him.

Likewise, we seek to serve as plenipotentiary ambassadors of reconciliation—men and women entrusted to represent the King of Kings with humility, wisdom, integrity, and grace wherever He sends us: in homes and churches, around dinner tables, in businesses, boardrooms, universities, legislatures, diplomatic missions, and among the nations.

The stars are not marks of rank or status.

For us, they are a reminder that every follower of Jesus is called to shine faithfully, bearing witness to Christ and His Kingdom in whatever sphere of influence He has entrusted to them.
