Our Calling
Walking Quietly Alongside Leaders
Leaders & Followers is a ministry of presence, prayer and peacebuilding, grounded in the truth of Jesus Christ.
For many years we have been invited to walk quietly alongside leaders of our nation—in the United States Congress and Administration, and around the world—building trusted relationships, praying with and for those carrying responsibility, and encouraging wise, faithful leadership in moments of consequence.
We are guided by Paul's urging of his protégé Timothy: pray for all in authority, so that we may lead quiet and peaceable lives in all godliness and holiness. This pleases God, who wants all to come to a knowledge of truth and be saved. — 1 Timothy 2:1-4
We believe that truth is not merely an idea to defend, but a Person to follow.
That conviction shapes how we serve.
- Rather than building platforms, we seek to set tables.
- Rather than speaking first, we seek first to listen.
- Rather than pursuing influence for its own sake, we seek to remain faithfully present wherever God opens a door.
Whether around a dinner table, in a parliament, a boardroom, a university, a place of conflict, or a local community, our calling remains the same:
to be present…
to pray…
to encourage…
to help leaders discern the times and know what to do.
This is not simply what we believe.
It is how we seek to live.
